Downton Abbey is something I’ve been holding on to as it’s about to get its sixth and final season. I desperately wanted to wait, but I gave in to the temptation and now I’m cursing myself because I absolutely need to see season six right now. I love it so much The thing about Downton, but what I find particularly appealing – apart from the hair and clothes and intrigue – is the food. I’ve always had a soft spot for British food.
Things like Cornish pie, fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, mashed potatoes, and Yorkshire pudding are some of my favorite comfort foods. Not to mention perfectly warm scones with clotted cream jam and the perfect cup of tea.
